Linda grew up locally in SLC and later traveled far from home to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of New England, in Portland, Maine.
Her path wasn’t that of a typical outpatient therapist, she gained a comprehensive perspective in a variety of settings. She has supported research in the field doing lab work, treated patients in an intensive care unit, and eventually became an outpatient clinic director. Linda’s trajectory is reflective of the curiosity, drive, passion, and resilient attitude that she brings into the clinic setting.
She has special interest in treating shoulder and knee injuries, with an emphasis on climbers and volleyball athletes. She values honesty, sets positive expectations, and creates collaborative personalized treatment plans to meet the goals of every client from the inexperienced beginner to the seasoned athlete.
Linda has been continually recognized for her grounding presence and ability to sincerely connect to each person who walks in the door. Her focus is not only treating an injury, but also involving each patient in exploring the “why”.
Her patients tend to leave with a more nuanced approach to injury and a long-lasting patient-provider relationship. Linda is especially talented at offering unique treatment approaches for patients who haven’t had ideal experiences with PT in the past. Linda is also half-Venezuelan and takes Spanish-speaking patients.
When not in the office, she wears the badge of weekend warrior proudly. She has many hobbies including playing sand volleyball, shooting three-pointers, working in the woodshop, sport climbing, dancing salsa, and catching live music!
